The recipients are not usually of the animal variety, however – unlike last week, when he presented an accolade to a prize goat.

Attending the Royal Norfolk Show, the largest two-day agricultural show in the country, Prince William viewed some of the livestock on parade and gave out awards including the Queen’s Prize, which went to a British Saanen goat called Teion Meika. Owner Teigh O’Neill, 42, said: “He asked about preparing her and keeping her clean.”
