PLYMOUTH Argyle have issued a short statement in response to a report that manager Steven Schumacher has turned down the chance to become the next Swansea City boss.
In it, the newly-promoted club said the 39-year-old is 'fully committed' to Argyle and 'looking forward to the Championship season getting underway.
Schumacher has been among the favourites to take over at Swansea ever since it became clear that Russell Martin was set to leave them for Southampton although that move has yet to be officially confirmed.
The Pilgrims' boss was also the target of an approach from Huddersfield Town last season before later signing a two-year contract extension with Argyle taking him through until the summer of 2027.
