Samsung Display is stepping up its push into the extended reality market by showcasing its latest RGB OLED on Silicon technology at AWE USA.

The company presented advanced OLEDoS panels designed to deliver exceptional clarity, brightness, and efficiency for next-generation headsets and smart glasses. This demonstration highlights Samsung's growing ambitions in microdisplays, a critical component for immersive XR experiences that demand high pixel density and vivid visuals in compact form factors.
The showcase at the Augmented World Expo in Long Beach, California, features several standout prototypes that push the boundaries of what is possible in wearable displays. Attendees can experience binocular headset demonstrations that simulate real-world usage, offering a glimpse into the future of augmented, virtual, and mixed reality devices. These advancements come at a time when the XR industry is accelerating, with increasing demand for lighter, brighter, and more power-efficient screens that maintain visual fidelity during extended sessions.
THE HIGHLIGHTS OF SAMSUNG'S RGB OLEDOS LINEUPOne of the flagship demonstrations is a 1.4-inch RGB OLEDoS panel boasting an impressive 5,000 pixels per inch. Despite its small size comparable to a standard wristwatch face, the display packs nearly three times the number of pixels found in a 4K television. This ultrahigh resolution delivers lifelike clarity and detail, making text sharp and images immersive even when viewed close to the eye. The panel earned recognition earlier at Display Week with a People’s Choice Award in the AR/VR/MR category, underscoring its technical excellence.
