CANARIES
IT IS fortunate that at the time the Gloster canary was exhibited, I kept detailed records including the judges at each show, the award and even the number of entries in the classes in which my birds were entered. It was, therefore, an easy matter to check that particular bird’s show records. In doing so, I found that Mr Wallbridge was mistaken in every point he made (see January 17 issue). This corona’s five major wins were each awarded by different judges. It was also never exhibited under A.W. Smith.
