Mumbai-based interior designer Parag Pandya, walks us through the first-of-its-kind Pre-Fab home which, showcases Parag’s attempt at breaking away from the tried and tested formulas and moving on to something more innovative and experimental.
Having designed a lot of interiors for high profile clients and Bollywood celebrities, Interior designer Parag Pandya, Principle Interior Designer at Haus Kraft, takes a progressive leap by integrating architecture and engineering, to design this first-of-its-kind 4,000 sq. ft. Pre-Fab bungalow in Nasik, which is imported from Australia. Adopting a new Pre-Fab steel technology for the construction of this bungalow, the designer has designed a new landmark.
Deviating from the conventional method of construction, Parag dared to experiment with innovative techniques to design this awe-inspiring home. Explaining the idea behind opting for the pre-fab technique, Parag says, “I wanted to give this home a completely different look and feel, so, I travelled with my client to Brisbane. After a brainstorming meeting with Mr. Keith Richardson, we selected an unusual steel structure and also imported the external bricks, internal gyprock, doors, windows, false-ceiling, roofing tiles and gutters from Brisbane.”
