Cooking for a big family is always a challenge, but throw in food allergies and it’s one of the hardest parts.

Nobody in my family or my husband Matt’s family had any food allergies, so it was never something we thought about when we started our own. But alas, we’ve ended up with quite the list!

Dairy was something we learned to avoid early on for three of our children and one also can’t have soy, so we have to stock four different types of milk in our fridge! But it was the nut allergies that really took us by surprise.
