SHOCK PUBLIC GESTURE ENDS WITH POLICE INTERVENTION
THE DOWNFALL OF DAMIEN RICHARDSON

Former Australian actor Damien Richardson once appeared to have it all. He had starring roles in a string of hit television shows, got nominated for awards, and was in an A-list romance with beloved radio queen Fifi Box that had many declaring them the perfect couple.

But how hard, and far, the privileged can fall.

Since 2021, the ex City Homicide star has sparked controversy after controversy, the most recent of which culminated in him being charged for allegedly performing a Nazi salute in public.

The incident occurred in September last year.

Damien, 55, was at a National Workers Alliance (NWA) meeting at a south-east Melbourne restaurant. The NWA claim on their website to be the "Australian Nationalist Organisation for the preservation of Western Culture and Identity."

According to the ABC, Damien was allegedly giving a speech about racial identity and societal change. He's then said to have extended his arm up in the salute an act the Victorian government banned doing in public in 2022. It was broadcast live to Facebook and shared multiple times online.
