Lately, I must turn off social media especially when people continue to judge and hate for minute indifferences.
I like that feel-good energy! That tingle in my toes, goose bumps on my skin and feathery lightness in my chest. The times that make me giggle for no particular reason at all. The only explanation is that I am surrounded by people and places that I love. What is that magical ingredient to create that feel-good energy? That spice of life is the most vital energy of all! LOVE!
The insanity has me running to sit quietly alone on my porch and focus on a solution. What I know to do is to focus on what is good and loving. Hate does not bring peace to our world, only love will do that. To love others unconditionally is the only way to heal this planet. That love, depth of compassion, and unconditional acceptance begins at home.
There is not a single person who has not been through some major times in their lives whether due to socially perceived injustices or unexpected accidents and health issues. Those moments of loss remind us how precious and limited this life is. To love ourselves is to live in abundant love; loving parents, siblings, friends, partners, children and grandchildren. The longer I live, the more people that I love and the more I learn about the most precious gift in this life: to give love. Sure, we could talk about all the frilly ga-ga mooshy romantic love because it’s delicious and who doesn’t want to taste that every day? I could tell you my stories and you tell me yours and we could chat for hours all weekend long. However, we have plenty of romance novels and movies to cover that department. I want to talk about the biggest love of all. That is the love of being a parent!
After all, this is February and we all know a few people born in September!
