A Good Agenda For Economic Revival
The Maharashtra government’s initiative to revive the economy is likely to bear fruit after much discussions and deliberations on the subject. It had formed a committee of 11 bureaucrats to suggest measures to revive the economy in the Covid-19 pandemic time. The committee submitted its report on May 8 to a Cabinet sub-committee headed by finance minister Ajit Pawar. The sub-committee too has recommended several measures after discussing the report. Now, the Cabinet is likely to take a final call on the recommendations in its next meeting soon.
