MY FAVOURITE Souvenir

AIRPLANE MODE

PANKAJ ANAND

“It’s an integral mode of transport in our profession. This is an aeroplane I had picked up from a promenade in Johannesburg, South Africa.”

CERAMIC CURIO

Jenny Zarins

“It’s a small ceramic piece I picked up in the most incredible shop in Nazareth, Israel, called El Elbabour. It was a really hot day, and as we entered, the coolness of this stone-walled shop was welcoming. It was a haven of spices. There were stacks and stacks of huge bags of the most incredible home-made ones. No preservatives, flavour enhancers or colouring here. Their on-site mill was truly a state of art. For me, the smells, colours and textures are beyond words, somehow all wrapped up in this little chipped piece that takes me right back every time I look at it.”

35 CITIES & COUNTING

Joshua Karthik

“This souvenir, a collectible model from New York, has become my one world project, something that helps me connect all the places I’ve been to and make something truly tangible from travel: a custom piece of art for each major destination I’ve visited.”
