Two of the industry’s most iconic sports car numbers reached their 1,000,000 production milestone one after the other – Germany’s Porsche 911 last month and Japan’s Mazda MX-5 last year.
The one-millionth 911 rolled off the production line in Zuffenhausen on 11 May 2017, about a year after the one-millionth MX-5 was produced in Hiroshima.
