How to get your people pictures looking their best

Enhance A Portrait

People are one of the most popular subjects for a photo. However, it can be a challenge to make our friends and family look their very best.

Many issues can affect a decent portrait picture. A blast of on-camera flash can make our nearest and dearest’s eyes glow a ghoulish red. Flash can also create shiny hotspots that make your subject’s skin look unflatteringly sweaty. When shooting a group, one of your subjects will invariably have their eyes closed.

Fortunately, Photoshop Elements can counteract common shooting problems like these. It can even coax a smile from a reluctant subject if you’re particularly clever.

People can be picky when it comes to approving their portrait, especially if it’s intended for social media. They might be sensitive to wrinkles and spots or wish their teeth had been a little cleaner. Elements boast a collection of retouching tools that can flatter your subject by whitening their teeth and creating a cleaner complexion. George Cairns
