YOU WILL NEED

  • King Cole Big Value Chunky (100% acrylic, 100g/152m)

For yarn quantities and measurements see size table

  • A 6mm circular needle (60cm)or very long straight needles
  • A set of 6mm double-pointed needles (DPNs)
  • Stitch markers
  • 4 heart-shaped buttons,25mm diameter
  • Sewing needle and thread

TENSION

14 sts x 20 rows to measure

10x10cm (4x4in) over st st using

6mm needles

ABBREVIATIONS

Kfbfb Knit into front, back, front, back of stitch (3 sts inc’d)

Bobble K1, slip st back onto LH needle (bobble sts are worked into this st), kfbfb into st (3 sts inc’d), turn, working on these 4 sts only,

P4, turn, K4, turn, P4, turn, K4, do not turn, slip each st over the last st worked until 1 st remains.

HEART PONCHO

BACK **Cast on 49 (53: 59: 65: 73) sts using 6mm needles and Yarn A. Row 1 *K1, P1; rep from * to last st, K1.

This row forms moss stitch.

Repeat last row until piece measures 6cm from cast-on edge, ending after a WS row.

BODY

Row 1 (RS) With Yarn A, work in moss st as set for 9 sts, PM, join

Yarn B and with Yarn B K31 (35: 41: 47: 55), PM, with Yarn A, work in moss st as set for 9 sts.
