Charity of the MONTH
Each issue we find out more about one of the good causes you could help out with your knitting...
Anne McLaren, Senior Area Port Chaplain for North of England
Charity Stella Maris (formerly known as Apostleship of the Sea)
Established 1920
What do you do? Stella Maris is the largest ship visiting network in the world, providing seafarers and fishers with practical, spiritual, and emotional support, regardless of their race or faith. We also give out knitted hats, scarves and gloves to seafarers - so they can keep warm while working at sea. Simple practical acts of kindness can make a great difference.
