With the Perpetual Calendar Ref. 5320G, Patek Philippe presents an entirely post modernist design, powered by 21st century innovations
Perhaps the most astounding thing to note about ref.5320G is that Patek Philippe calls it “contemporary vintage” and “retro-modernistic”; even a cursory look at the automatic watch reveals the truth of this official description. Timepieces that reference the past as heavily as this one are often divisive and the Geneva watchmaker adds fuel to the fire by making it absolutely irresistible. Just the design alone earned it a spot in our hearts when we first took note of it at Basel World 2017 – we take no credit for spotting it as everyone noticed. Given that Patek Philippe sets the tone for understated elegance, having one of its watches turn heads – if that watch is not the Nautilus or Aquanaut – is deeply impressive.
