With all the emphasis on clean tech, which Audi innovations are you most excited about? The e-tron and g-tron programmes are already well underway.

The most exciting one is probably the electric vehicles that are coming up. Everyone is talking about electric vehicles in India, even though we still have a few years to go. I’m happy that the government has said that by the year 2030 they want 100% electric vehicles in India. I think it’s the right step though it is an ambitious one. I’m curious to see how the government wants to realise it but I’m confident that if you work on it, you can do it. Now from the Audi perspective, by 2020 we’ll have three fully electric vehicles being launched. Subsequently each year we’ll launch more models until 2025. Our ambition is to have at least one-third of the cars that we are selling as electric vehicles. That’s something that I’m really looking forward to when it comes to the future and Audi innovations.

What are the benefits of being part of a large auto group, which also includes such storied brands as Bentley, Bugatti and Lamborghini?
