New Delhi: The trains on the country’s first Regional Rapid Transit System (RRTS) corridor connecting Delhi to Meerut will have a design speed of 180kmph with stations at every 5-10 km. As these trains will be the first of their kind in India, a simulation technology is being used to run “virtual” trains from Sarai Kale Khan station in Delhi to Modipuram station in Meerut to understand the operational complexities.
