Coldplay has become one of the most searched bands lately, especially after they announced their Asia tour for early 2025. While Indian fans might be sulking over missed ticket opportunities, you can still catch their Music of the Spheres World Tour at Yas Island in Abu Dhabi. And while you are here, there is much you can do besides soaking in the musical magic. Yas Island, developed by Miral Destinations, has plenty to keep the excitement going. If you’re on the hunt for a New Year’s kickoff that ticks all the boxes, look no further! Here are some of the things that you must bookmark for your trip.
Thrills and Spills at Ferrari World
Whether you are a car enthusiast or not, a visit to Ferrari World at Yas Island is a must for an adrenaline rush. If Ferraris get your heart racing, this one is surely for you. Thrill-seekers must try the Formula Rossa said to be the fastest roller coaster in the world. Its maximum speed is, hold your breath, 240 kmph in just 4.9 seconds. The track, stretching over 2.07 km, is inspired by Italy’s legendary Autodromo Nazionale di Monza. However, if you are not one for speed, hop on to the Bell’Italia, that will have you explore the scenic Italian vistas in a mini 1958 Ferrari 250 California. The setting has been created to include landmarks like Portofino, Amalfi Coast, Monza Racetrack, Colosseum di Roma, Venezia, and Maranello. Some of the other must try rides here are Flying Aces, Turbo Track, Turbo Tower, Formula Rossa Junior and Karting Academy.
Adrenaline Rush at CLYMB™
If you are looking to skydive in a simulated environment or have an urge to climb a wall, head to CLYMB™, just a stone’s throw from Ferrari World. The Indoor Skydiving/Climbing activities both need to be pre-booked and you will need to arrive at the reception 60 minutes before your scheduled start time. This is because a bit of preflight or pre-climb training is key to making the most of it.
