ASSEMBLE BLOCKS
Measurements include ¼" seam allowances. Sew with right sides together unless otherwise stated.
Press seams in directions indicated by arrows on diagrams. If no direction is specified, press seam toward darker fabric.
The Triangle Pattern is on Pattern Sheet 4. To make a template of the pattern, see Make and Use Templates, page 94.
1. Gather three assorted solid ½x42" strips and two assorted solid 2x42" strips. Lay out in desired order. You can arrange same-width strips together, as in Diagram 1, or in a random order. Sew together strips to make a strip set. Press seams open. The strip set should be 6½x42" including seam allowances.
2. Referring to Diagram 2, place triangle template atop strip set in orientation A. Cut along template edges to make an A triangle. Rotate template 180°; cut along template edges to make a B triangle. Continue in same manner to cut four A triangles and four B triangles from strip set.
3. Referring to Diagram 3, sew together an A triangle and a B triangle to make a triangle pair. Repeat to make four triangle pairs total.
