WHY DID YOUR CLIENTS BUY THIS HOUSE?
As soon as they entered the property in 2018, they were instantly greeted with a feeling of warmth and wowed by the magnificent oak beams. The house was built in 2006 using a traditional Wealden frame and they loved the modern interpretation of the traditional Tudor style, but with larger proportions. The layout was perfect for entertaining, but as it's not open plan, everyone - including their children aged 13 and 16 can have their own space.
WHAT WAS THE HOMEOWNERS' BRIEF AND MAIN PRIORITIES?
They wanted their home to feel calm, relaxing, warming and welcoming with designs that worked with the oak beams to brighten and uplift the spaces. Their biggest priority was creating the perfect balance between aesthetics and functionality, so we chose performance fabrics that were ideal for a busy family. We also created a media/games room in the basement from scratch.
