GALLAS: NO ONE FEARS 'AVERAGE CHELSEA'

WILLIAM GALLAS has accused Chelsea's owners of turning the "average" Blues into a club that no one fears.

The former Chelsea star won back-to-back Premier League titles during a trophy-laden era at Stamford Bridge.

But that has all changed under the leadership of Todd Boehly and Clearlake Capital.

Huge sums have been spent on overhauling the Blues squad but they have endured two of their worst seasons in recent memory.

More than £1billion has been shelled out on new talent including 10 new signings so far this summer - but Gallas does not believe many of the current crop would get anywhere near the Blues teams of the past.

He said: "I'm looking at this squad of players and I don't see nearly enough quality.

"There are so many players in the squad that don't have the quality to play for Chelsea.
