FOR one evening, it felt like 2023 again with one car miles up the road from everyone else.

Except this time, the Red Bull of Max Verstappen was the one doing the chasing Entirely in vain.

This was Lando Norris at his imperious best, producing the most dominant performance of his Formula 1 career.

The Briton's struggles off the line are well documented but there were no issues here as he defended the lead into the first corner from pole position with ease.

And, from there, it looked like he was driving in an entirely different category from everyone else.

That McLaren machine, even after the FIA asked the team to change its rear wing design, was streets ahead of every other on the roads of Singapore.

Mobil ORA By half distance, Norris was 25 seconds ahead of Verstappen (above) and still pulling away.
