Anti-terror special ops unit launch to boost Nato | Boat, bike, chopper and dune buggy strike groups

A NEW Royal Navy special operations unit will boost the UK's war and counter-terrorism capabilities.

The UK Commando Force will support Nato, SAS and SBS special forces with small, independent strike teams.

As well as fighting terrorism, the commandos will counter threats from Russia, North Korea, Iran and China.

Defence chiefs reviewing the UK's military have labelled the hostile states the "deadly quartet". A source told the

Mirror: "This is all about responding to current threats and boosting capability to react and respond."
