Ex-miner gets NHS teeth at last

A FORMER miner who survived on soup and painkillers as he could not afford £5,400 for private dental fees has finally got a new set of teeth on the NHS.

David Creamer, 63, had been "too embarrassed" to leave the house after four upper jaw crowns snapped off in June last year.

His teeth have now been extracted and dentures fitted, and after looking in the mirror, he said: "I thought that it wasn't me. I said: "That's not David Creamer'. I look human.
