TWO dual nationality Britons, including a Cambridgeeducated journalist, have been freed in Russia's biggest prisoner swap with the West since the Cold War.

Yesterday's exchange of 24 prisoners held in seven countries followed years of secret negotiations with the Kremlin British-Russian dual citizen Vladimir Kara-Murza, 42, and Paul Whelan, a joint US-UK citizen, were among those freed.

Journalist Kara-Murza, 42, was serving 25 years for treason after speaking out about the Ukraine war. He was also poisoned twice.
