A REMOTE rural postbox has been out of action for weeks due to the local snails making a feast of the letters and parcels inside.
A sign on the taped-up box reads: "Not in use, snails eating mail." County councillor Guy RennerThompson said: "It serves quite a few houses and farms, and we'd like to get it back open as soon as possible.
