A WOMAN whose organs were “turned to concrete” by weightloss surgery is looking forward to eating solid food for the first time in over a year after surgeons built her a new stomach.

Pinky Jolley, 46, had gastric sleeve surgery in Turkey in November 2022 after UK doctors told her she was dangerously overweight at 17st 11lb.

Diabetic Pinky, who had gained weight after medical issues left her in a wheelchair, raised £2,100 via GoFundMe for accommodation, flights and the surgery.

Surgeons in Istanbul reduced the size of her stomach by 85%.

But when she came round from the two-hour operation, she felt very poorly and suffered intense stomach pain, vomiting and dehydration.

Four days after the surgery, Pinky returned home to the Wirral, Merseyside, where her GP told her to go to hospital immediately.
