Before the Games opened in Paris last night, the royal couple wrote on X: "Looking forward to another few weeks of incredible sport!

"Wishing the very best of luck to our Paralympics GB athletes and all those competing at Paris 2024. W & C."

Jonnie Peacock was 19 when he asked the 80,000-strong crowd to quieten down as they yelled "Jonnie! Jonnie! Jonnie!" before his epic 100m gold.
