Punters reckon 'no plastic' design has led to cuppa chaos

PG Tips has found itself in hot water because customers say its environmentally friendly teabags break too easily.

Tea drinkers have complained the biodegradable seal - brought in to replace plastic in eco-bags- often splits and ruins their brews.

The company is still battling to perfect it a year after it was rolled out. Its pyramid bags, made of paper, were previously sealed with polypropylene.
