WARRINGTON Wolves are poised to become the surprise package of the Super League season and stop St Helens making it five in a row.
That’s the verdict of nine-time Grand Final winner Jamie Peacock, who thinks the 2/1 favourites might have too much on their plate to triumph again when the Betfred season kicks off on Thursday night.
Former England captain Peacock above) says that Saints’ bid to win the World Club Challenge on Saturday against Penrith Panthers could seriously derail their Super League chances.
“You can’t underestimate the impact that will have on that team at the start of the year to go to Australia and get themselves emotionally and physically up to play the best team in the NRL,’ said Peacock.
“I do think it'll really impact their ability to get to the Grand Final.
