SALFORD and Manchester City are only five miles apart as the crow flies.

But the differences between the two clubs who meet in the FA Cup at the Etihad Stadium tomorrow could not be greater.

City is one of the richest clubs in the world, has won the last four Premier League titles, and are led by one of the greatest managers of all time in Pep Guardiola.

They train at the £200m, state-of-the art City Football Academy, which has 16 pitches and where the players' car park houses Bentleys and Lamborghinis.

In contrast, Salford, managed by lower league specialist Karl Robinson, is aiming to get out of League Two at the fifth time of asking and do not even have their own training ground.

Their usual training pitch, which they rent from Manchester United, was frozen this week, so Salford had to call in a favor and train inside at United's old base at The Cliff-hardly ideal for facing one of Europe's best sides.
