BRITS have been urged to stay at home for five days if they catch the "Kawasaki" vomiting bug.

Health chiefs are concerned after surging cases of the new strain of norovirus.

The variant GII.17 - known as Kawasaki after the Japanese city where it was first detected accounts for 70% of infections across the UK.
