JAMES Bond books have been rewritten to remove race references.

Author Ian Fleming's 007 thrillers are being reissued in April to mark 70 years of the spy, last played by Daniel Craig, inset.

Ian Fleming Publications, which owns the literary rights to the author's work, commissioned a readers' sensitivity review of the classic texts.
