BOFFINS have discovered a new planet hailed “Earth 2” which they say could support alien life.

THAT'S E.T.31 LIGHT YEARS AWAY

The distant planet, officially called “Wolf 1069 b”, is roughly the same size as ours, habitable and likely to have water on the surface.

Its average temperature is thought to be the same as England’s at 13C. And, like Earth, it orbits its star.
