A LARGE chunk of the sun has fallen off, say baffled eggheads.

But since Elon Musk says we'll be moving to Mars by 2028 it probably doesn't matter. 

Severed piece of plasma is swirling around north pole

SCIENTISTS have been after left bamboozled discovering a chunk of the Sun has broken off.

The giant severed piece is now swirling around its north pole like a whirlwind.
