WHEN UNAI Emery breezed into Aston Villa and admitted targeting silverware, the sceptics – especially at Arsenal – raised eyebrows.

This is a club which has not won anything except the Championship play-off final, since the League Cup in 1996.

Yet it quickly became apparent to both Villa fans and players that the Spaniard was to be taken seriously as he masterminded their first home league win over Manchester United since 1995 in his opening game.

Now both Villa and Emery are dreaming of qualifying for Europe after storming up the Premier League since he took charge in October with the side in 16th.
