<p>About 80 anglers from across Britain take part in the annual autumn Shrewsbury River Classic along the River Severn.</p>
<p>But one organiser, Andy Jones from Shrewsbury Town Fisheries, reckons it could be axed this year due to high levels of pollution.</p>
<p>&ldquo;In Shrewsbury, the quarry park in particular is the epicentre for sewage,&rdquo; he said.</p>
<p>He&rsquo;s seen fish catches fall, he said, while many anglers are netting sanitary products like wet wipes.</p>
