LANDO NORRIS can blow the title race wide open today with championship leader Max Verstappen well off the pace.

Red Bull went into yesterday's qualifying session at Monza hoping to be in the mix for pole but were more than half a second too slow.

Verstappen managed only seventh, with Red Bull team-mate Sergio Perez eighth, as title rivals McLaren locked out the front row.

Norris edged out Oscar Piastri to secure the top spot, while George Russell will be breathing down their necks heading into the first chicane. But Lewis Hamilton was spitting feathers after going just sixth fastest.
