2020 marks the 99th anniversary of the SPCA. The Cantonese pronunciation of â99â symbolises that happiness comes in pairs. Hence, in 2020 we would like to encourage more loving families to adopt in pairs - a pair of dogs or cats, or even adopt two different species of small animals. In this issue of Pawprint, you will find many heart-melting stories of owners keeping more than one pets at home.

Pawprint is a triannual magazine published by The Society for the Prevention of Cruelty to Animals (Hong Kong) (SPCA(HK))and is distributed to approximately 30,000 readers who are concerned about animal welfare issues or are interested in learning about and promoting responsible pet ownership. Pawprint offers interesting articles on a variety of topics which range from veterinary health issues and animal rescue work to animal welfare programmes and happy adoption stories. It also shares with readers the SPCA(HK)âs works within the local community and in Mainland China. Each issue features a unique cover story on a compelling and important animal issue, provides facts and tips on pet care, offers news relating to animal events and also includes an educational childrenâs corner.
