Few industry insiders can boast of helming two design houses. For Karishma Swali, co-founder of luxury bridal label JADE and the esteemed Chanakya School of Embroidery and Fine Arts, the new year holds the promise of a new relationship with fashion – one where it is leveraged as an agent for change. In collaboration with her daughter Avantika, Swali recently launched MoonRay – a craft-focused collective offering ready-to-wear clothing, vegan accessories, and gold-plated jewellery. Here, the dynamic co-founders talk about their vision for a brand that aims to pay it forward.
