Let’s not kid ourselves—70 is 70. It is not— emphatically not—the new 50. So, what does 70 feel like? Let me just say it doesn’t feel half as awful as 40!
LET’S GET PHYSICAL
Forty is so in-between and annoying. It is an age where panic sets in for no reason at all. Women get hyper sensitive at 38, avoiding any reference to the significant birthday, even though it is just two years away. Something changes six months from the date. It’s called defiance. They announce in a slightly exaggerated, shrill voice, “Hey guys! The Big F is happening. Partaaaay…” Nobody is convinced. But what the hell, the Big F is only going to get bigger. There is 50 to reckon with, remember!
