During her final Friday slot on This Morning back in December, Ruth Langsford struggled to hold back the tears, as she thanked fans for their support.
Losing the regular gig with husband Eamonn Holmes to Alison Hammond and Dermot O’Leary was a tough blow to take. ‘Eamonn and I are sad not to be doing This Morning on Fridays any more. We did them for so long and I love working with Eamonn, but programmes evolve and TV changes,’ Ruth said of the snub.
Added to that, in the past year Ruth has also had to deal with her only son Jack leaving home for university as well as not being able to see her beloved mum, Joan, due to the global pandemic. It’s no wonder the TV presenter is feeling a little down...
