At 64, Anthea Turner has an enviable glow and looks the picture of health â sheâs clearly got this ageing thing figured out.
But the presenter admits sheâs practical when it comes to her health and beauty regime. While sheâs careful about her diet and follows a diverse exercise schedule, her skincare routine is very much no-nonsense.
Weâre desperate to know the secrets to her agedefying looks but it all began with her outlook, she says.
âYou do need to put in more effort as you get older,â she says. âI think the first 40 years are on the house â you can get away with most things when youâre younger â but I think the next 40 you have to put a bit of effort in.â
Anthea, who is engaged to businessman Mark Armstrong, says there are upsides to getting older.
âYou have more air miles behind you and thereâs more knowledge,â she explains. âI think you cherish things when youâre a bit older because youâve done the maths and you see your mortality. So, I savour things more and am much more relaxed these days.â
Antheaâs skin is something to be admired, with barely a wrinkle in sight. But she tells us she doesnât overcomplicate things when it comes to skincare, with much of her routine starting from within. In fact, her mantra for life has spurred her on to create her own range of affordable beauty products â and sheâs clearly done her research.
âIâve got to the age where Iâve tried a huge amount of stuff, and you start to ask the question, âDoes it really work?â You wonder what youâre spending your money on and you question things, so I started to educate myself,â she says.
The TV personality, who has been in the showbiz industry for over 30 years, has just launched her newest skin product: Balm 6. With a vision to empty cluttered bathroom cabinets, the product has six uses; a make-up remover and cleanser, a face mask, a lip balm, a balm for eyebrows and lashes, on cuticles and to nourish dry hair.
