It’s a bright, sunny April morning in the city of Dubai. We’re setting up at Al Seef Heritage Hotel in Al Seef, one of Dubai’s most popular leisure districts – complete with the charm of being classic with its architecture and big courtyards, but with all the modern amenities that a traveller of today needs. The market of the district is slowly waking up – shops are stirring to start the day, the smell of breakfast wafts in from a café, and our cover star Kriti Sanon – with curiosity, interest, and energy – is all set to start the day we’ve planned.
“I’ve never been to this side of Dubai, so I’m actually quite amazed. It just gives you the feel of classic Dubai, that you see in movies. Look at these coloured doors, the stone walls, even the rustic weighing scale in the markets, and these little shops. This neighbourhood is so interesting – it’s a very good connect of old and new,” she says, coffee in her hand.
