ABC begging fired sitcom queen to return after killing off her character
BITTER after being fired from her own sitcom and publicly disgraced, troubled Roseanne Barr is getting the last laugh as desperate ABC brass are secretly begging her to come back and save their replacement show, The Conners, insiders dish.
“Execs are desperate to see Roseanne return because they know the show is doomed without her,” says an ABC insider.
“Some folks at the network believe they acted rashly, and now they want to see Roseanne come back in the worst way!
“And they’d pay her a boatload of money to do it.”
Roseanne is playing it cool, but admits it hurt to have her character killed off, sources say.
