The King Had a Fascination With a Younger Priscilla.

When Elvis Presley first met his future bride Priscilla Beaulieu in September 1959, while he was serving in Germany during his military service in the US army, the young Priscilla was just 14 years old and in Year 9 at school. Shockingly, there was a 10-year age gap between the teenage Priscilla and the 24-year-old star.

According to legend, their meeting was orchestrated by Elvis’ friend Currie Grant, who approached Priscilla at a local hangout and asked if she wanted to meet the famous rock ’n’ roll star, adding that he and his wife were good friends with him. Priscilla agreed and after getting her parents’ consent, met Elvis, who was immediately smitten.

After their fourth date, Elvis met his new girlfriend’s parents and, with their approval, the relationship became serious.

“I wasn’t a typical teenager,” Priscilla said in 2016. “I was really very mature for my age, and honestly, when we first met, I think Elvis just felt comfortable talking to me.”
