Shyam's Academy

We want to inspire the youth of India to enter this glamourous industry. They will take India forward. Also, when you share knowledge, it grows so, we take every opportunity to teach and learn.

Shyam’s Academy, spread across 2000 sqft, was launched in Mumbai 16 years ago. The space also houses a salon. Created by celebrity stylist Shyam Bhatia, it is now run by Nikisha and Vivek, his children. Through the academy, seminars and workshops, more than one lakh hairdresser have been trained. As a young turk, Shyam did not have the resources or money to learn hairdressing, and he struggled to make his way through. Hence when he acquired the skills, he was appreciated by everyone in the industry. The academy is company-owned and operated; and does not have a branch in Mumbai.
