Telcos' 4G subscriber additions in August highest in two years
THE 4G SUBSCRIBER additions for telecom operators - Jio, Airtel, and Vodafone Idea -- rose to a two-year high at 7.1 million in August, data from the Telecom Regulatory Authority of India (Trai) showed. Reason for an increase in 4G susbcriber base can be attributed to an uptick in 2G to 4G migration, adoption of JioBharat, as well as telcos focus on premiumisation, analysts said.
