Gopal Rai urges special drive to bar private polluting buses from entering delhi
Gopal Rai, the minister of the environment in Delhi, gave the transportation department special instructions on Friday to launch an effort to stop private buses that emit pollution from entering the capital. During his inspection of the Sarai Kale Interstate Bus Terminal's air pollution control measures, the minister discovered that buses from neighboring states were operating in violation of the Center's Graded Response Action Plan's prohibition on BS-IV diesel cars. \"We have found that private buses from other states have been violating the ban and have directed the transport department to run a special drive to check the entry of such vehicles into Delhi,\" he told reporters.
