Hopes of summer hols abroad were in tatters last night after Portugal was kicked off Britain’s green travel list and no more countries were added to it.
BRITONS were ticked off last night after ministers threw foreign hols into further chaos. No more overseas countries were added to the green list and Portugal was kicked off.
The Nepal variant and surging Covid cases in the country were blamed for its move to amber, meaning travellers there would have to quarantine on return.
Prime Minister Boris Johnson, who received his second Covid jab yesterday, seemed downbeat about adding new nations to the safe travel list, saying he would not hesitate to put them on red or amber if he had to.
He added: “We’re going to try to allow people to travel, as I know many want to.
